Gayatri Bhaumik is a professional writer and communicator, and an avid traveller.

Always ready for her next adventure, Gayatri took her first flight at 10 days old and hasn’t looked back since. After long stints in Bangkok, Melbourne and London, she is now based in Hong Kong.

​

Gayatri currently contributes travel and lifestyles stories to a range of publications including Travel + Leisure SEA, ECHELON, SPH Magazines, Forbes Travel Guide, Luxe City Guides, Elite Traveler, Hong Kong Madame, Chika Magazine, Destination Deluxe, and The Loop HK.

 

She is also a regular contributor to RBS ContentLive, the editorial lifestyle portal for the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Private Banking division, and Expatica, a Netherlands-based portal dedicated to easing the transition to expat life.

Gayatri is also the Founder and Chief Wordsmith at The Wordsmith's Ink, an agency providing copywriting, social media management, and SEO services to corporates and small businesses in Hong Kong and beyond. The company has worked with clients such as Shangri-La Hotels, The Upper House, Shopify, Bamboo Scenes, Christina Devine Bridal, and Companion Communications.

Gayatri has a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Media and Communications and a Master of International Relations from the University of Melbourne, as well as a MSc in Global History from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
